This is and has always (at least back to V5.X or 6.X) been true yes? Just a quick gut check.
If it works in free it will work in the same version of the full product. You can't use something that requires Player 7 in full Kontakt 6. You're generally ok going upwards in version numbers so something that works in player 6 will normally work in full 7.
Provided it's the same version then I think so. Here is a link to the comparison chart.
Thanks but the chart doesn't really answer the question (and tbh I am more concerned with 6.X, although I am generally wondering across the board)
Duh ! , Sorry , what I wrote were inaccurate and to be misunderstood. I were thinking "Provided it's the same version" as in not a lower version number Full version than Player version. Of course correct is : Provided it's the same version or higher.
Just for your information, Kontakt (full version) and Kontakt Player is one and the same software app installed on your computer; it’s the Serial Number / License Code that tells the app to run either as Full or Player mode.
I don't think that's correct…if it were, then they wouldn't have two different installs.
Hmm - when K7 launched in Fall 2022 - I had K7 Player installed for a very short while and then installed K7 Full once I purchased my Komplete 14 ULT upgrade - never remember having two distinct installs.
AND - Player disappeared completely from Native Access as soon as Full was installed. They are one in the same as far as I could tell.

Most probably your Kontakt (Player) 7 that was already installed was a point older version, so you had to install Kontakt 7 update to bring it to the then current version when you upgrade Kontakt Player to full version.
I have Kontakt 6.X, so maybe this started with 7?
