Fix for MK3 buttons not connecting with corresponding software (Mixer, etc.)

Has there ever been a fix or workaround for the MK3 hardware buttons not opening the corresponding functions in the software, like the mixer button opening the mixer in the software, etc.) It's horribly counter-intuitive, especially on a non-stand-alone piece of hardware.
