Kontakt Library - Short Articulations for Solo Viola?

Hi,

I am trying to get short articulations - not just sforzando and staccato, but a regular short sound like marcato. I am writing a viola line that is meant later to be sung, and am trying to get the articulations such that it sounds melodically the way I want, where at times you have 16th notes at 80 BPM. Sforzando and staccato don't sound right for what I intend.

Ideas?

There are few options with this very limited instrument. If layering doesn't work, you could extend the length of the sound with tm pro. (I do this with nearly all my short articulations)

You could layer the attack of one of the short articulations with the duration of a sustained sound
