Native Access installers failing for updates
Hello!
Just in case this helps anyone else out…
I've just updated my OS to Ventura but I couldn't update many of my NI products using Native Access (e.g. Battery 4, Bite, Choral, etc.). Each product got as far as downloading its DMG file and executing it, but then they all failed telling me to grant full disk access to Native Access and its Daemon, both of which I'd already done.
I tried a few other things such as restarting the OS, switching the full disk access settings off and back on again, intercepting the download of DMG files, duplicating them quickly before they were deleted and running them manually, but nothing worked.
In the end, however, I found a solution, which is to quit Native Access, rename your existing Native Instruments folder containing the executables, run Native Access again and now it will give you a load of Repair buttons for each product. Click those, and when it asks if you want to relocate or reinstall, choose reinstall. That did the trick for me, anyway.
Now to find out why VSL MIR Pro crashes whenever I interact with it…
Ah, the joys of updating an Apple OS(!)
