How can I get my Kontrol s49 mk3 to work with Protools

I've gone through all of the steps but for some reason the correct options in "Receive From" and "Send To" aren't showing up (the DAW option). I've checked to make sure the hardware was on MIDI 1.0, I've reset parameters in Protools, I've deleted Kontrol from the Audio MIDI/MIDI Studio to reset it, I've reinstalled Komplete Kontrol and the Hardware Connection Service. Nothing changes. It worked at one point and then just stopped all of a sudden a month or 2 ago, can't remember the exact day.

I am using an M1 Mac running Sonoma 14.4.1

Thanks for the response. My issue was resolved via email. I needed to downgrade my ProTools version to 2019.3 and that brought back the DAW option. After I was able to update ProTools to the most recent release and everything is working perfectly. Thanks again for your help.

    A few things:

    1. I assume you're already updated to at least Pro Tools 2023.12 or higher? If not, you should do so or the integration for Kontrol S MK3 simply won't work.
    2. As you also mentioned, stick in MIDI 1.0 mode.
    3. You don't need to make any manual adjustments after the auto assign. It's already set correctly, which I can see from your screenshot. It says KONTROLS49M3 in Receive and Send. Ignore the drop-down menu, those options aren't relevant for the integration.
    4. Once auto assigned, close the window, and it should work. It not, a reboot of the keyboard followed by Pro Tools should fix it.
    5. Lastly, if it's still not working, this could suggest a USB-C issue, which we've seen on certain machines and covered elsewhere on the forum. Affected machines will exhibit strange symptoms such as a failure to connect, which can manifest in a number of ways across any USB-C peripherals. The fix for this is to ensure you're plugged into a USB-C hub, rather than directly into the computer, which bypasses the error in the computer's USB-C hardware implementation. That may also explain why it was once working, and is now not working.

You may also wish to update to the latest version of Sonoma, as Apple fixed numerous Apple-side bugs affecting us.
