It should show colors if you load an instrument that uses colors.

I have a similar issue - really inconsistent

In Komplete Kontrol the Native instruments physical keyboard shows the colours but the application has no keyboard view "example AR50s Autumn Kit Full" on my Mac

In Kontakt 7 application on my Mac the Keyboard is visible with the mappings "example AR50s Autumn Kit Full" but on the Physical keyboard all the keys are blue same goes with Maschine application and my Maschine MK3 hardware - this needs to be addressed I would hope

So which one is it? The controller is not showing lights or the software is not showing keyboard/colours?

Sorry if I was not explaining correctly these are the scenarios any advice would help
    Scenario 1.
I open Komplete Kontrol Application on my Mac, load AR50s Autumn Kit Full

My Komplete Kontrol S61 MK2 midi keyboard shows the different colours for the different drum kit elements but I cannot see a "virtual" keyboard in the Komplete Kontrol application

    Scenario 2.
I open Kontakt 7 application on my Mac, load AR50s Autumn Kit Full

My Komplete Kontrol S61 MK2 midi keyboard shows a solid purple for each of the keys and I cannot select browse on the midi keyboard, however Kontakt 7 application shows a "virtual" keyboard with the colour mapping for the different drum kit parts

I assume that Komplete Kontrol application is called that as it works with Komplete Kontrol keyboards making my scenario 1 make sense but what is lacking in the Komplete Kontrol application software is the "virtual Keyboard like in Kontakt 7 - I have attached a screen shot of the applications

I might be missing something but any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

OK, got it now. The colours on a controller are hard coded by whoever made that particular Kontakt library. It is like this for every library - the vendor decides about keyswitches, zones and colours.

Komplete Kontrol software doesn’t show it (whereas Kontakt does), but the controller lights up accordingly in both usage cases.

I agree that it can be confusing with KK and that displaying keyboard on screen in KK should be possible.

In komplete Kontrol my MK2 keyboard always shows the colors when accessing a library but in Kontakt the keyboard is white until I click under the Purge area then the color shows up correctly in Kontakt and this only happens when I first load a library then I can add or change libraries and all the color shows up in the kontakt keyboard. When I close Komplete Kontrol then I have to redo the process above all over again only when I load my first library. I use the latest Komplete kontrol version and I had even tried previous versions but It made no difference. I am also using the latest Kontakt version
