Hello, I got the X1 MK3 today. I have the Traktor Pro 3 version 3.8.0. However, the X1 MK3 does not run with this version. Now I've read that I have to buy the update before I can use the controller. Why are we not informed about this? Why is such an important detail not included in the product description of the controller?

I bought the controller for 300€ and now I have to pay 119€ for the full version for the Traktor Pro 3 version 3.11. It's a mess

Maybe you are still using Native Access 1? That will only update to version 3.8 on windows I think

To make sure you can get NA2 here: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/native-access-2/

Or are you using an old version of Mac OS?

@mykejb Many thanks for your help also to @lord-carlos. Yes, I still had Native Access version 1. I have now downloaded Native Access 2 and updated my Traktor Pro 3.

I have another question. Do any of you know anything about mapping?

No, you absolutely don't have to buy an upgrade as all updates in a product major version are free. If you have Traktor registered to your Native Instruments account it the latest version should be available in the latest version of Native Access for you to download.

Do you see this when you open Native Access ? If you have 3.8.0 installed you'll see "Upgrade" on the right.

If you don't then you need to register the serial number in Native Access as described in this article - How do I Register the Hardware and Software of my Traktor Product? – Native Instruments (native-instruments.com)
