No voices load with Legacy library/new libraries are fine

Hello,

Have just started using our Kontact 7 again after a long time away. When we load a legacy library such as Berlin Grand Piano with overtones, there are no voices showing when keys are struck. However, if a newer library is used, all is well. There is sound and it shows the appropriate number of voices in the window.

We think the legacy sounds are not loading properly.

Suggestions?

@underwater Is it in Kontakt in standalone? What is your operating system? Is Berlin Grand Piano installed in the same location as your other libraries that do work?

Thank you, Jeremy, for answering. We are running Windows 10. We have a dedicated computer for Kontact 7. We have solved that particular problem and have worked through several others in the setup process. Current problem is that we can't get the SPDIF output to show up on the Komplete Audio 6 Mark 1 from Kontact 7. It doesn't give us the option of choosing ASIO for audio output in the instrument. We have downloaded and tried to install the updated driver for Komplete Audio 6 Mark 1, but it won't install and says that there is no devise.

This exact setup and equipment all worked with Kontact 4. Suggestions?

@underwater Is the soundcard recognised by your computer at all? Have you checked these steps? My Native Instruments Hardware Device is Not Recognized

Have you checked to see if there are other drivers available to be configured such as WASAPI rather than ASIO? A lot of vendors have moved off of ASIO in preference for WASAPI because it's more flexible and just as fast as ASIO. That's pretty much all I use anymore.

Sound card is turned off. We've tried all the things indicated in support articles. Device updater won't recognize the Komplete Audio 6 MK1. Do we need to get a Komplete Audio 6 MK2 to make this work? Should/could it work with MK1 or not?

We are still not making progress. We are running Windows 10 on a dedicated computer that just has Kontact 7 going to a Komplete Audio 6 MK1. We record into SOund forge, but into a different computer with another Komplete Audio 6 Mk1 interphase. Everything works except the SDIF or equivalent from the Kontact 7 computer.
We've tried all the suggestions everyone has made - thank you for that, but not getting digital in. Sound card in the Kontact 7 computer is turned off. We wonder if we need a Komplete Audio6 MK2 because of possible incompatibility problems as this setup and equipment all worked in the Kontact 4 computer five years ago. Thanks for any help.

Sorry, we thought all the info was in the thread. To recap: After 5 years of disconnection, we are setting up our studio again. We are connecting a Windows 10 dedicated computer with NI sounds running Kontact 7 to another Windows 10 dedicated computer for recording via 2 Komplete Audio MK1's. (Orginally we were using Kontact 4, but have now upgraded to 7.)
The original problem was that we couldn't get the NI sounds to load in Computer 1. That is solved and the signal shows up Computer 2, but as analogue. We want digital.
The sound card is turned off in Computer 1 and we have have done the trouble shooting suggestiongs regarding USB connections and cables, and made sure that NIHardwareAgent & NIHosting IntegrationAgent are not running in the background. 
Current problem is still that we can't get the SPDIF output to show up on the Komplete Audio 6 Mark 1 from Kontact 7. We have downloaded and tried to install the updated driver for Komplete Audio 6 Mark 1 in Computer 1, but it won't install and says that there is no devise. Yet, the signal from Computer 1 arrives to Computer 2 through the 2 Komplete Audio MK1's.

Absolute first step would be to try to get this sorted ! If drivers doesn't work as should then you can not expect the device to work properly. One could extract the drivers from the driver installer but that is secondary to make sure that the device is properly detected as an USB unit (in which case the driver installer might work anyway !) Also the above statement does not tell if Windows has actually detected the USB device , at least Windows ought somehow let you know that you have connected the device and you ought be able to see it in the Windows device manager somehow !? So maybe that ought to be a thing to check !? Else try connecting the device to another USB port and/or try removing any other USB devices connected if they are not needed. Ideally you want the USB device connected directly to the computer and not through a hub but if you have a problem detecting device then you could also try using a self powered USB hub that can supply the devices with power to see if that makes any difference and of course also try another USB cable. If you get the device up and running you might also want to check if firmware is updated (while of course taking very much care that both device is stable connected and also there are no programs including security that could suddenly block the firmware update - if it is needed) ! Drivers and stuff here.
