Upgrade to latest Kontakt Player 7 version doesn't work.

I use Kontakt Player (KP) V 7.3.0. Because the Jacob Collier requires a higher version, I've downloaded V 7.6.1 via Native Access 2. When clicking on this exe-file I get an error message "Cannot find access point...." (see attachment).

When I put the KP VST3-version that comes with the download in the same directory as the other VST3-plugins, my DAW doesn't recognizes it.

From the helpdesk I've received the suggestion to download again KP - which I did - but I have the same issue.

So, what can be done?

I can`t even find Kontakt player 7 to download. Where did you find it.It is not in my Native Access 2 that I downloaded.

Sorry you had problems installing the latest version of Kontakt. Sounds like there's an issue with Windows installation. Can you please try the troubleshooting steps listed in this discussion?

@johngigs Can you check if your operating system meets Kontakt 7's requirements?

Your post is containing no information at all other than the expression Kontakt 7 Player. Have you actually added the Free Kontakt 7 Player to account ? If so then as asked by Kaiwan_NI then does your computer and OS meet minimum requirements ?

If all the above is OK then try resetting the Native Access XML file , look at section 8 here : My Product is Missing in Native Access

I've have followed the normal procedure to install the Kontakt Player, but I think I now understand the problem: my PC is custom made - done by a company that does only that - with a Win 10 version that is stripped down to its essential functions to have all power available for DAW/audio programs without the unnecessary interruptions. This means also that windows is "frozen" and has never been updated since the moment I've bought the PC some 4 years ago.

The great advantage was and is that I never had any technical problem running this machine, and I can invest all my energy in creativity instead of solving technical problems, but apparently I can't install the newest version of Kontakt Player due to that old windows version.

But I can live with that: everything else is running perfectly, also the newest VST2/VST3 plugins and libraries, only The Jacob Collier library needs the latest Kontakt Player version, which I can't install.

One day I've to upgrade my PC anyway and then I'll have access to all new versions of whatever plugins.

So thank you for the remark about the window version, now I know what caused my problem!
