    @Jahwel Ensure you have the latest supported Visual C++ redistributable packages for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019 installed. Install both the x86:vc_redist.x86.exe and x64:vc_redist.x64.exe available from the Microsoft support site.

    If that doesn't work out, let me know and I'll create a ticket for you so my colleagues can look into it.

    Hey Jahwel,

    Can you post a screenshot of the error message? What's your OS?

    The problem is only for Kontakt 7. For Kontakt 6, is ok for installation, but not for K7. I have 2 paths! the software is installed on "Programmes", but K7 search "Program Files (x86)". On Native Instrument, there is path : "c://Program Files (x86)", but the software is installed on "c://Programmes". Kontakt 7 is installed on "Programmes", but path search "Program Files", but Native Instrument is on "Programmes" and not Program Files"

    At Jeremy_NI , OP is using Windows 10

    @Jahwel , please try the following :

    In Native Access , then in Preferences go to tab File Management , and then make sure that Application Path is correctly set. On an English language OS then that is set to : C:\Program Files\Native Instruments , but you using a French language OS then I do not know if the standard application path is C:\Programmes\Native Instruments that you write about , so please check where your software is normally installed . If in doubt then open a Windows Explorer and in the address field type %ProgramFiles% and then <ENTER> that will show system standard path. *Use that

    Then close all Native Access and all programs

    Then Uninstall Native Instruments Kontakt 7 by Right-click the bottom left-hand corner of your Desktop and choose Programs and Features from the appearing menu. In the Programs and Features window, select Native Instruments Kontakt 7 you want to remove and click Uninstall.

    Then reboot computer then open Native Access and Re-install Kontakt 7 to see if the problem persists !

    Thank You PoorFellow :)

    I followed your directions. My paths in Native Instrument are fine. All applications install without problems except Kontakt 7. I tried several times to install Kontakt 7, but nothing worked, I still have the same problem. Before K7 worked perfectly, is it the last update that caused this problem?

    I changed the path on Native Instrument, and uninstalled then reinstalled Kontakt 7 and the problem remains the same!

    @Jeremy_NI ,

    Sorry , there appear to have been some ID confusion by the OP. But apparently this problem may require N.I. support attention !?

    GetWindowDpiHostingBehavior is an API function that got introduced in Windows 10, version 1803 (src).

    Is your Windows up to date? (The current version is 22H2)

    I installed Windows 10 version: 22H2

    I uninstalled, then reinstalled Kontakt 7 by Native Access, but I still have the same problem! Since it's the only software that works like this, I'll wait for the next Update, which may fix this bug...

    Thank you all for your help :)

    @Jahwel This issue has not being reported so far, so it doesn't look like a Kontakt 7 bug but I've reached out to the Kontakt team for more info.

    If you install the previous version of Kontakt, does it open? Here is the installer: KONTAKT 7.3.2

    Thank you very much Jeremy.

    The link you gave me and the version of Kontakt 7, works very well for me. I find my Kontakt 7 with all my applications :) In Native Instrument, it tells me that there is an update, but I imagine that it should not be launched, otherwise the library problem will come back... So while waiting for a patch on Kontakt 7, your version will do. Thank you very much for the time spent <3

    @Jahwel Now that the correct Windows C++ packages are installed you can update Kontakt without an issue.
