40's Very Own - Drums
Has anyone had any issues with using 40's Very Own - Drums via Komplete Kontrol in Abelton Live 11?
out of the blue when using this preset in the above configuration, it will trigger multiple sounds instead of just the one I'm trying to trigger.
to troubleshoot I've tried other presets and they do not have the same issue.
I eliminated my controller and just used the midi note, editor to put in the notes and it still does it.
I also uninstalled and reinstalled the preset, and it still does it.
any ideas you might have would be a great help, thanks!

Yes, the question here is does it happen with every preset of 40s Very Own Drums?
Can you also see what pads/drum sounds are being triggered? Which notes exactly?
Dores it happen when you use the notes for the separate instruments (colored keys on the left) or when you trigger the kits with the purple keys on the right?

Does it happen for all 40s very own - drums presets? I tried it again in Live 11 and it's working totally fine. Any MIDI assignments in Ableton? If you check the kit, can you see different notes for the different pads?

Thanks man! I’ll check into this and hopefully it’ll do the trick.

Unfortunately, this wasn't it. everything looks right in regards to the assignments in the kit. I tried other presets and it has the same problem. I've been tried to run it using Kontakt 7 and it still had the same issue.

In your first post, you said "I've tried other presets and they do not have the same issue".
What are you calling a preset? 40s Very Own Drums is not a preset. It's a KOMPLETE instrument.

I forgot to ask if you could reproduce this issue in Kontakt in standalone?

Yes, the same thing happens when I open contact as a standalone.

Yeah, I was just calling it a preset because it's kits with preset effects, etc. but yes, I am talking about the 40s very own drums instrument. Does that help with any ideas on how to solve this issue?

Yes it helps to know what you're referring to.
Can you also clarify your comments on whether other instruments do or don't have the same issue?

Yo, first of all thanks for taking the time to post all of this detail! I finally figured it out.
I opened an old session that was using 40s very own drums and the song would play as it was supposed to, but I noticed when I triggered the sound from the editor it was having the same problem. So I went to open a new session and basically go down the line and answer every question you posted up here.
It turns out I overlooked something so simple! I was playing from the wrong octave, which was the purple section of keys which, as you know will trigger the loop.
I don’t know if there was an update to Ableton, but for some reason, the editor was not at the middle c position when I opened it as it used to be so when you start playing in the editor, it happens to be in the right location to play the individual instruments.
I feel like such an idiot that I miss this, lol!
thanks again everybody that weighed in on the subject.
