Installing previous versions of plugins

Hi all

I noticed today that there is a special deal on the Ozone 11 advanced crossgrade. I have Ozone 10 standard, but interested in the additional modules like Stabiliser and Impact.

My problem is that my OS can't run Ozone 11 - I am on Big Sur and can't update. However, I wonder if I purchase Ozone 11 Advanced, would I not be able to install the previous version (i.e. Ozone 10 Advanced) on the same license? I can think of other scenarios where for some reason the current version doesn't work well with the customer's machine and downgrading to previous versions is allowed by developers.

I get the way you think but alas I do not think that it works that way. If so then also you as a future buyer should also have access to all sorts of discontinued software. There a more reasons for why it does not work like that , which could include reasons varying from IP rights to collected costs over time or other !

But you could maybe get a secondhand license for the products you want somewhere ?

No one is asking for access to "all sorts of discontinued products". Ozone 10 Advanced was released last year. I want an update to my current product because there are compatibility issues with the new version, but NI won't sell one.

Steinberg allows buyers of Cubase Pro to install up to 2 versions back, precisely because they are aware of legitimate compatibility issues that can arise, and conscientious of their customers needs.

I guess you should ask at Izotope, not here. What is sure, NI does not provide licences for older versions than purchased. Maybe that one could ask NI to transform licence for recent version to licence of older version. But in that case purchaser would loose licence for recent version...

For sure one could not use one licence for several SW versions.... Only very few companies allow that.
