about upgrade collection license trasfer

I'd like to ask you a license question.

I upgraded the komplete Select bundle I received after buying the maschine mikro to komplete 12.

But I'm going to do a license transfer this time.

If I transfer my komplete 12 upgrade collection to an account that has not previously purchased any products before, will it be able to download komplete 12 products normally? 

Or will I have to transfer it to someone who has a version before komplete 12 to use it?

Presuming that the upgrade product that you bought is e.g. KOMPLETE 12 STANDARD Upgrade for KSelect then you will need a similar Komplete Select product on the account for it to work. So you would either have to transfer the Hardware serial that gave the Komplete Select also together with the upgrade or buy a Komplete Select (or hardware with select) to add to the account prior to transfer !

Personally I think that a Komplete 14 Select will be valid as base for a V. 12 upgrade but I couldn't say for sure or guarantee that , else if you are in further doubt or need of help then please contact account and registration support !

If you speak about transferring your  KOMPLETE 12 STANDARD Upgrade for KSelect to a new owner.

He must have Komplete Select (8-12). Maybe also Komplete Selection would work. Or maybe Komplete Select 13 or 14 would work....

Also, other Base Products may work. Hard to say whicch exactly, NI lists them for Komplete 14 and there is a link for older versions, but it is up to 11, 12 and 13 is missing. But I guess 12 might be like 11, but better to check.

If not having apropriate Base Product, it is not possible to transfer it to that user account. Transfer is refused by NI.
