A61 Komplete Kontrol keyboard with Maschine 2 - Everything except notes

Previously fine - but after setting up protools (and using the maschine plugin) - now the A61 KK Keyboard has stopped registering keystrokes.

It is connected - can use all the controls. It registers the instrument chosen on its display etc.. Keystrokes don't register (NOT that they are silent). Meaning no midi info is coming from them ...

It is correctly chosen as a MIDI input for Maschine 2 software. It's the only hardware connected (so nothing competing). Pro-tools does NOT have it registered.

It works fine with Komplete Kontrol stand alone. Can play fine ...

Bit of a head banger (hours of fiddling now) ...

Any ideas?

    Hello,

if you check maschine preferences under the "default" tab, have you enabled "Default MIDI Input Mode". also check midi in settings on the pads or groups, depending on what you wanna do.

If what you mean is that the keys are playing the instruments but the midi is not recording in ProTools piano roll, it should be a ProTools setting and not Maschine.

You even say “Pro-tools does NOT have it registered.”. Why? How could ProTools record the midi if you don’t tell him where the midi comes from?

Let’s start from the beginning: where do you want the midi events to be recorded to? In a ProTools track or in Maschine plug-in?
