Workaround to install Jacob Collier Audience Choir for Kontakt Player 7.4?
I have an older Mac that can only run macOS up to Catalina 10.15.7
For some reason, Native Instruments restricts Native Access to version 1.14.1 and Kontakt Player to 7.4 on this OS version. Native Access doesn't even see the JCA I've registered to my account in the "Not Installed" list.
Outside of "buy a new Mac", what is the trick to download the files directly (outside of NA) and configure Kontakt Player 7.4 to run it?
Thanks.

Thanks, but that is why I'm asking if there is a workaround to install it manually.

I think if there was a "work around" NI would have just implemented that in the product and then it would be compatible out of the box with older versions of Kontakt.

I have exactly the same issue. I've been running Kontakt 5 for years and just bought Kontakt 7 Bundle so I could get JCA. Native Access 2 won't install on OS 10.15.7 and the download links default to Native 2 with no option to use the older version. I found a link on the NI site that let me download and install Kontakt 7 as an update directly and I was then able to enter the serial number in Access and it works but I can't get JCA and have spent several hours going round and round on the robot 'support.' Should have got the free player instead.

Ray’strack, it’s unfortunate that NI chose to impose this restriction to an OS version that isn’t even 4 years old yet, given that a good portion of users are hardware-limited to the prior version. If Kontakt truly uses macOS 11+ features, it would have been nice to provide a compatibility layer to polyfill these features and use the prior equivalents.
Otherwise, still looking for a workaround to manually install and override the restrictions via config file edits or some such. If I find a way I’ll post it.

How old an OS is - is irrelevant. This is all about whether the vendor who makes the OS - still supports it.
Apple ceased support of Catalina on November 30, 2022
NI (like any other vendor) will only support an OS that is still considered to be in active support. They are asking for world of hurt to allow any new library to be installed/supported under an OS that Apple won't even support.
If you want to blame someone - blame Apple. Or get current and enjoy the new library.
