New imac new Kontakt 7 No DAW YET

I bought a new imac and New kontakt 7 full.$299 I paid SW for installation and all i have to do is enter some numbers and install.I have No DAW yet. i plan on getting Logic for my DAW .Can i do K7 first and then later on get logic last In other words will logic recognise K7 as a plug- in.I have logic on another computer so i get it free

NI installer will put Kontakt AU plugin in Components folder. It will be sitting there, until you install any DAW, for example Logic. Then it will be scanned and recognised and you will be able to use it in Logic.

No problem. Logic always scans Components folder upon first run, after installation. Other DAWs which use both VST2/3 and AU (like Ableton Live) will also scan VST and VST3 folders.
