No control of VC 2A

Have been using the VC 2A plugin for 6 months with no problem at all. Now, when I add it to a channel, I cannot change any of the parameters. The only thing that works is changing it from limit to compression. None of the other controls are changeable at all. Any ideas what I've done?

    What DAW are you using ? DId that happen after an update ? A NI update ? DAW update ?

    I'm using Pro Tools 2021.3. There were no updates that I'm aware of. But that may be the problem nonetheless. It seems that there are other plugins that I don't have control of either. There are some non0NI plugins that I have control of some of the parameters but not all of them. There may have been an automatic update of some kind although I haven't set my Mac up for automatic updates for just this scenario. Appreciate the advice. I'll keep digging.
