Using LFOs or Sequencers to record Automation

I can't figure out how to record automation from Internal sources (I.e. Reaktor loaded in a group) using Maschine natively. I would assume there is some way to send Midi to Maschine and route to an automation lane, but I can't see where/how to do this. Thanks!
