How can you adapt Traktor Z1 from a computer to an iPad?

I bought a Traktor Z1 in India to connect to my iPad Pro 11. After several attempts with suitable cables, I realized that I bought the controller that is suitable for computers. It is important to note that I travel the world and no longer have access to the store to return the product. Is there a way to change the controller software or do something on the iPad to make the controller work? Right now the audio goes through the controller but you can't use it. The controller only turns on lights when connected and then turns off.

it should work with traktor DJ on your ipad far as I know. I found a test in german where they described exactly that setup. Of course you need to connect the power brick.

My Traktor Z1 model does not have an additional power connection. I saw that it exists in older models. Do you still think there is a way? Not working at the moment

I'm not totally sure, maybe a powered hub could work, in the test they wrote it need power for the midi part to work. The Z1 should be class compliant, so it should also work independent from your os version on your tablet.

Ok then this has really changed and best would be a small laptop or another controller and software for i pad then. Or the S2 with traktor on I pad, but traktor for I pad gets no updates anymore.

Yes it did change. There are 2 versions of the Z1, the older one fully working and the newest not.
As said, most direct way to distinguish them is the newest one lacks of power plug

Is there a way to change the version of the new Z1 so that it connects to the iPad? In my Z1 there is no additional connection to electricity.
Or maybe find a splitter that will connect to both electricity and the iPad. Has anyone tried it?

Theres powered hubs out there, the treads linked has some convo about that.
I would open it up and see if the solder pads for a DC input are there on the PCB, sometimes when companies remove components they don't actually change the PCB as this saves some money, but of course, opening it up will void your warranty and you can damage the device if you're clumsy, so I can't recommend it.
So, the HW had a silent upgraded model revision (sounds more like a downgrade actually)? Or was this announced? I'm finding this baffling...

Unluckily the problem is not powering it…real problem is that the second version doesn’t work with iPad at all.
Even in the site description ipad is not even mentioned
And in another thread from a couple years ago Kaiwan said it

For your interest: even first batch Z1 have some quirks: I made some tests some time ago for another user, and it works perfectly with iPads with lightning connectors (controller side and audio interface side). But with newer iPads with USB-C connections it works only as controller but not as audio interface
