Traktor Pro 3 with Kontrol S4 (mk1) using turntable with control vinyl

I'm using Traktor PRO 3 (Version 3.6.2) and Kontrol S4 (MK1) on a macOS Big Sur (Version 11.7.3) and it works perfectly fine, beleve or not.

Now I'm interested connecting turntable and use control vinyl. Do I need control vinyl MK1 or MK2 and what kind of needle?

You need mk2 vinyl.

I have Ortofon OM PRO S needle. Is it suitable using on time code vinyl?

I don't know much about needles. But traktor just needs an ok clean signal and dvs should work.

I think it's better to have a needles that has less wear on the record. As you would use it all the time on the same. But then again you could just buy a new DVS for 20 bucks if it wears out.
