Resampling a pattern to a Pad
I used to do this with an Ensoniq ASRX Pro sampler. Record a loop with the sequencer; assign the loop to a pad; trigger the pad from a midi track in a DAW. I believe Ensoniq called that “resampling.” Can this be done with the Maschine + ? I sure hope so as it would make life much easier.

If in Sampling page you set input to Internal, you can resample anything you want coming out of Maschine

yes, this is trivial and quite fast & easy. select an empty pad, then press SAMPLING, set input to "Master", loop lenght to the appropriate amount of bars, then before the first downbeat of the loop, hit START. After its done, change the pad from Sampler to "Audio" to get the loop running. If you only want to resample a specific group, set the input accordingly

Thanks guys! I’m able to do that now. What I need to know now is how to trigger the pad from a midi track in Logic. Whenever I open a midi track and select the Maschine + as an external midi instrument, the way I would do with any other external synth, it doesn’t trigger pads in the Maschine.

Sorry, I don't use logic so cannot help.. anyone else?
When I do this in Ableton live, I can send MIDI notes to the plugin as usual, so I know its not a Maschine plugin limitation.
Lastly, there are two ways of playing back a resampled loop in Maschine: You can either have it as a regular oneshot sample (in which case you need to retrigger it for every cycle of the loop), or you can set it to a loop by using the Audio module, in which case activating the loop pad will only mute/unmute the sample but it is always playing and looping in the background as long as transport is active

What you're able to do in Ableton Live is all I want to do in Logic. I keep Googling it and searching this forum but there is nothing. I can't believe it's so difficult to do.

@jbucklin Why did you open a new thread? You already started one yesterday about the same thing, and had a whole bunch of replies.

I saw that. I mistakenly thought that the first one didn't get posted in the Maschine section of the forum, but rather to the "general" one, if there is such a thing. Sorry. I tried to find a way to delete it!

To be honest, it doesn't really matter that much which section a post is in, as long as it has a meaningful title (not just "help" as some people post!), and maybe a tag or two.
The front page always shows recent discussions, so it'll get seen regardless of the location.

Okay. That is good to know! Thanks.
