Is there a method for running version 6.5.2 side by side with version 7 without removing any of the software?
@JLyles Stumbling on your post a bit late. You should be able to use Kontakt 6 and Kontakt 7 side by side. The only thing is that when you save an instrument with Kontakt 7, then you won't be able to load it in Kontakt 6.
Well, yes...but that is rather risky and glitchy (speaking from experience.)
It is better to stick with only one Kontakt version.
Yes but I have to do that or leave some of my best work behind. How can I do this?
Even if I could just run the version 7 player but keep the full version of 6.5.2, then that would be good.
Oh...maybe it is possible.
You can see the 2 separate versions on your DAW, right?
No. I tried installing both versions and the newer version removed the older version for some reason. I then had to go back and reinstall the older version after removing the newer version.
Yeah... I told you it would be glitchy...
It is better to just use the newer version.
If you want to upgrade to K7 full version, you can do it for 99 bucks if you have K6 full version.
That is all I can help with.
Have a nice day!
I did but want to use them both.
Kontakt 7 full version and K6 full version...right?
It is impossible then...
Sorry...
No, Kontakt 7 or higher, player and K6 full version
Yeah...not really possible...for now.
I tired but the newer removes the older.
I'll have to stay with 6.5.2
@JLyles This shouldn't happen, please get in touch with support if you want this resolved: https://bit.ly/NI_support_kontakt
