Hi,

we want to use the Komplete Kontrol MK3 keyboards for library selection (and light guide function) on our slave computers using the USB connection. This is nicely working on the test MK3 keyboard. Simultaneously we want to send the MIDI data to the DAW for MIDI recording. Only if we are unplugging the USB cable, MIDI data are send via the MK3 MIDI OUT, plugging USB cable immediately stops MIDI send.

How to do?

Thanks

    Many thanks, Uwe, highly appreciated!

This solution works now well via "MIDIOUT3 (KOMPLETE S88 MK3)". We used MIDI-OX for the associated routing as proposed by the NI support. This way we can now use on the MK3 keyboard the full browser and lightguide functionality with the Vienna Ensemble Pro Kontakt7 plugin on the slave computer, and simultaneously record via the MIDI OUT DIN to the master computer, i.e. in the DAW.

One big problem is left to be solved: the parameter-mapping provided by NKS for each instrument (the knobs functionality) seems not to send any MIDI OUT (no MIDI CC outgoing from knobs, while mod wheel etc. send MIDI CC). Thus, parameter change or sound twists using the knobs cannot be recorded to the master computer, which is a major drawback for using the slaves.

Any idea on how to solve this?

    Hello,

you can route midi through the first computer, the one connected with USB, to the 3rd midi out port. This midi port goes out to the physical midi din connector on the back if you have USB connected.

I will try some stuff but I fear if it works then only with some workarounds and good preparation. Do you use always the same presets?
