Does the Maschine Jam still work?
I have a chance to buy an almost brand new Maschine Jam for a ridiculously low price. Seeing as it’s old I just wanted to ask if anyone who’s still using one is having any compatibility or obsolescence issues?

As of now it fully works and is supported with the latest versions. Surely NI will end its support at some point, but they wont say when. It's a bit of gamble as far as future proofing.

Thanks for the answer. It’s a tough call, the Jam is perfect for what I want, but I would hope to get at least a couple of years out of it. I wonder what the best alternative would be? The apc64?

It works but note that it isn't fully compatible with Maschine+

Yea I use a mk3, so I guess I’m OK in that sense. Thanks for the information.

I'd say it depends on what you plan on using it with. It works ok as a generic midi controller/knob box, assuming you're able to reprogram your MIDI device to match the defaults.
You can get a lot more mileage out of it by adjusting the settings in the Controller Editor. It's possible a JAM template already exists for the Maschine+ or perhaps you can take one for the Maschine and tweak it?

Why would you need a template for Maschine or M+, it's already mapped specifically for Maschine, it's in the name "Maschine Jam"

I guess I was thinking there might be some different type of integration with Maschine/Plus since there was concern over continuing support?
