Latest Sonoma, latest Logic and latest Native Instruments Kontakt: Most Kontakt Instruments kill Logic reliable and immediatly after clicking Load. The same instruments load fine when either inside Komplete Kontrol or when loading them in Kontakt standalone. Other NI plugins are fine. Anyone else?

@josch @apsande Yes, I'm terribly sorry, I overlooked a really important detail. The fix doesn't work for Macs on Sonoma. The only workaround at the moment is to use the Komplete Kontrol plug-in instead. The bug is filed and is being looked into, as well as the official Sonoma compatibility.

I'll close this thread now and will communicate in this one in order to streamline communication: komplete kontrol mk3 crashing logic with Kontakt 7.

@josch I'm not sure what you mean by "kill Logic reliable". What happens exactly? Do you get error messages? Can you post a screenshot? You say that most of the libraries are affected, which ones crash and which ones do not crash?

If you have a MK3 keyboard, there's a known issue with Kontakt crashing, the fix is to close Logic and delete this file: Macintosh HD/Users/Username/Library/Preferences/com.apple.logic.pro.cs

Note: the User Library folder is hidden. To access it, click on Go in the menu bar and press down the Alt key. You'll now find the Library entry in the menu:

Hi Jeremy, I do have an S88 Mk3. And I erased the com.apple.logic.pro.cs - file. Does not change a thing:

I call up Kontakt 7 on a track -> I choose a Programm -> Logic crashes immediately -> I get a Fehlerbericht (Bug Report). Does not matter if I do this from a computer or use the browser of the s88.

I do the same from a track with Komplete Control: No problem.

I told you "most " Libraries are affected. That was because I did not try "ALL" my libs. But it is happening on all the programs I tried.

    All the best, Jochen

I reported in another thread that the same thing happens for me using logic.

MBP M1 Pro using the latest Sonoma. I have a S61 MK 3 keyboard. The error doesn't happen when the keyboard is not plugged in. Deleting the com.apple.logic.pro.cs file doesn't do anything. I hope this gets fixed soon.
