Session Guitarist - Strummed Acoustic 2 - How to play my own midi files like they are programmed?

Hi,

I just purchased "Session Guitarist - Strummed Acoustic 2" but unfortunately, it does not play my midi files the way they are programmed. I only get chord variations of my guitar lines and melodies...

Does anyone know, if this VST is capable of just playing midi files the way they are programmed or is the purpose of this product to make chord versions of whatever one has programmed?

Maybe I just did not understand it right and bought the "wrong" product for my ideas. Is it possible to change it to a "fitting" product?

There is a 12-string acoustic guitar in the free Kontakt Factory selection, which works just fine. But I wanted the sound of the "Session Guitarist - Strummed Acoustic 2", that#s why I bought it.

You probably want Session Guitar - Picked Acoustic. Strummed acoustic, as you discovered, has pre-defined strummed patterns. It won't let you play just a single note.

Picked acoustic on the other hand has "melody" presets which let you play a single note and seems to be what you're looking for.

Perhaps you can submit a support ticket and ask for a refund or if they can switch your strummed license into a picked license?
