Presets in Kontakt 7 do not autoplay, when I click on them - Why?

    I just got done uninstalling Kontakt 7 manually and reinstalling it along with uninstalling and reinstalling Previews and the Irish Harp. Still not playing previews in Kontakt on my M2 Ultra. What's weird is that the previews work fine in Komplete Kontrol.

    I'm not sure what else to check that would be helpful to track down the issue, other than launching it in a debugger. Somehow I don't think NI will give me the source code so I can try to fix this bug lol.

    @reffahcs I'm afraid it's something to do with the M2 Ultra and M3 processors. We could not repro the issue on a M1 and M2 Max with Sonoma. We're waiting to get a M3 and try this out, reproduce the issue and see where it could come from. There have been other reports with these CPUs and permission issues and Kontakt 7. Some similar issues in the past with other of our products were solved by MacOS software updates. Still too early to tell atm and needs more investigation.

    @Jeremy_NI any updates from your side? just recognized, that I don't have all of my instruments available in pro tools... even though I run it via rosetta... any ideas?

    and even not in standalone of kt7 I have all instruments available of Komplete 14...... e.g. Kontakt factory library is not there.

    @mertos Little update, one of our devs tested on a M3 Max Mac, previews in Kontakt and Komplete Kontrol are functional.

    What instruments are missing exactly? How do they show up in Native Access?

    Do you have full disk access for Pro Tools, Kontakt, Komplete Kontrol and Native Access? Once, for a Native Access issue, I had to untick the full disk access, open & close the app, then ticked it again. Can you try this out too? It's a little like shooting in the dark but it can't do no harm!

    no matter, what I select or deselect at full disk access, there's no change. "funny" side note: Komplete Kontrol did not have full disk access and preview worked and still works there.

    which OS was used at the test?

    following instruments are not available (neither at Kt7 nor KK)

    evolve mutations

    Kontakt factory library

    Kontakt factory library 2

    Kontakt factory selection

    vintage organs: is there, but KT is always crashing when I load it

    (choir omni/ emotive strings/evolve mutations library/kinetic toys/ show a folder icon not the instrument icon - but are available)


    by the way, also battery is also not playing previews anymore.


    slowly, but constantly those bugs are beginning to annoy me.


    any ideas?

    @mertos Sorry to hear about all these issues. One of our QA engineers has tried to reproduce your issues without success.

    Please get back to my colleague, we'll need to check a few things but it seems you never got back to him.

    update: I reinstalled my whole system - including OS - and: suprise! the previews in KT7 work. don't know why (I'm sorry), but seems to be successful at the moment. unfortunately the NI support is very slow in answering (of course I guess there are many tasks to handle) - so this did not really help - questions were asked, which I already answered beforehand... well. still a success! previews are working with m3 max

    I am so sick and tired of this. every couple of weeks my Libraries seem to randomly break and my previews and presets don't flat anymore, even though I haven't touched or changed anything. This requires so much time to fix each time I'm pretty much ready to completely give up on native instruments. It's the main reason I bought a NI keyboard. Why does this keep happening when literally nothing changes

    All my presets and 3rd party presets are in the correct place. ******>???????
