When and what to Expect Mk3 Firmware Update for Komplete Kontrol?

FL Studio continues to be coming soon. They're working on it, and we discussed it further with them again last week.

This is fantastic news. MCU is ubiquitous and nearly all DAWs work with it.

This is borderline false advertisement by now. The DAW integration list shows the list of DAWs supported by the MK3 and unless you click the dropdown under FL Studios is only then you will find deep where integration mentions it has not been implemented yet, stating "deep integration coming soon!" for over 4 months now while NI has been blowing smoke with false promises since. So far responses have ranged from "certainly before the end of the year" and "within the next couple of weeks" on Jan 4th. From a consumers stand point and someone who bought the MK3 back in October under the false predication that the deep integration has already been implemented. I believe FL Studio users should be compensated in the form of credit that can be applied to any software from your store as a resolution to the matter of ongoing misguided delays.

Maybe you should be asking Image Line these questions, it's their update people are waiting for.

Image line isnt the one informing everyone about NI controller integration to begin with as it is NI controller hence their responsibility whether or not they should have been stringing us along for all this time with promises they are unable to keep. If NI doesn't have their sights of this integration clearly just over the horizon from product launch then its not Image Lines fault. NI shouldn't have advertised such in the first place providing these unrealistic and opposing ETAs.

I'm not sure how much clearer I can be than my prior statement that they're working on it. There is nothing more my team can do here. It's up to Image Line to ship this, until which point we'll list FL as coming soon.

Well, you don't buy stuff based on "coming soon" promises. There's a reason why most companies put up a Safe Harbor Statement e.g. before their roadmaps. (Maybe NI should do that as well).
Clearly, NI hoped that FL Studio integration would be a thing before 2023 ended. Ultimately, it is solely on Image Line as it's their own product.
You were made aware that Image Line found a bug on their end that needs fixing:
The last FL Studio update came out on December 11, 2023. Still NI's fault?

Wowsers. So many threads like this about the MK3 hardware, I am super glad I didnt jump on it. It sounds like support for it wasnt even complete, but they pushed it out ahead of full Q/A - like other brands have begun to do more and more across many tech industries. Just push it out, get that money, then try to catch up to features later while altering social communities in a way that this seems normal, regular, part of the release plan. Goody goody.

I don't know why everyone is acting like this is a shocking revelation.... all the (worthwhile) reviews I watched before buying a MK3 clearly stated which DAWs it currently supported and which ones were in the works, that Play Assist only worked in Komplete Kontrol but on-keyboard support was a planned feature. And that there would be no integration with Maschine. Yet some people are acting like they were swindled out of their money.
I think the Mk3 is a great buy and does exactly what NI wanted it to do. I love the fact that there's a giant screen that tells me exactly what each knob does and it's current level/position. I've tried to find knob boxes in the past and ones with screens are insanely expensive. The closest thing to a MIDI knob box with a screen is the EC4 which costs $400 by itself and is way less readable than the MK3 screen.

@Monochrome - Absolutely and I cant help but feel like something else is going on and someone isnt being forthcoming on the situation now. NI just had a server crippling update that went on for 2-3 days before initially stating website was going to be down for 2 hours then left everyone without an update for hours and moved the time frame again and again. There seems to be a recurring theme here and I was actually that person that glanced at the MK3 DAW Deep Integration list and bought the controller after skimming down ,just seeing FL Studios there was enough for me. When I went to set it up is when I found the "coming soon" message so I patiently waited and waited...

@reffahcs - You sound like damage control attempting to divert the subject, your comment is wildly irrelevant to the subject matter and there is nothing wrong with the play assist. Stay on topic or create a new thread. Are you an FL Studios user? if not then you have no idea what your trying to play devils advocate for. Your downplaying the fact that NI did NOT clearly state which DAWS currently are supported because it hides behind a drop down menu in smaller writing stating "coming Soon". If this was suppose to be "clearly" conveyed then it would not be out of mind to have made clear by distinguishing between two sections of what DAWs deep integration is currently supported as opposed to what is expected to be coming out soon.

Will you quit with the all boldface text already? It's actually more difficult to read.

Hi - is the following dream worth dreaming towards? - using NKS2 ready Vsts to work with the keyboard functions without using Komplete Kontrol?
And there is one annoying thing when using Kontakt together with the new mk3 keyboard: One can not skip through different presets within one library. The next or previous button leads straigth into a different library itself (which is kind of misleading I think!).2 -
Switch to LOGIC then you don't have to wait for ImageLine. :)
