Touchstrip configuration missing in KK for MK3 series

I am desperately missing the touchstrip configuration in KK for my MK3 keyboard.

Is there any timeline for an update?

Isn’t it now done via hardware settings on Mk3 itself and not via KK anymore?

It is meant to be done that way, but that feature has not been implemented yet (like several other MIDI related things like templates and lightguide mapping, at the moment it is incomplete)

imho this is why NI never should have ditched using the Controller Editor app for MIDI configuration of their keyboards. It is great that it is meant to be on device now but it would also be useful to have an app to manage MIDI setup and that should have always been separate from Komplete Kontrol app (because I think keeping it all together meant they deprioritised these features that never should have been deprioritised)

OK, so Touch Strip Settings, User Manual page 82 - this doesn’t work on hardware yet?

If so, I am beyond words. Why would they put it into user manual then? I know about other hardware functions not yet implemented but I thought that if something is written in UM, it means it’s available???

Yes that would be a reasonable assumption - I don't have a MkIII myself but I had assumed the OP had looked in the manual first?

Same here, no Mk3 yet. I’ve assumed that he might have thought this functionality was still supposed to be in KK (if he used 2.x before) and not in hardware and didn’t bother to check in manual or at the hardware itself.

I guess my faith in people’s ability to self-troubleshoot is rather low… :)))

You might be right but I think I do remember someone from NI saying in another thread that wasn't available yet so why it is in the manual is anyone's guess? And besides I know Tom is an experienced musician, I'm pretty sure he checked first.
