What's the best Strings Plugin for making Chamber Folk music like this?

Hi everyone! First time posting here 😄

I was wondering if anyone could recommend one of the strings plugins that would be best for getting a sound like in Aspidistrafly's Landscape With A Fairy, specifically at 2:35? (Sorry, I can't share links yet)

I was thinking the Session Strings 2 would be good, but the Stradivari Violin would sound more intimate as a solo violin without the ensemble. Can the Stradivari harmonise with itself alone to get this sound, or should I get an ensemble like the Session Strings? Would love to get the Cremona Quartet but was looking for a more affordable option, lol!

I don't own any NI strings yet so looking for recommendations. Thanks! 🙏

Well, from my point of view, what you need is more reverberation effects.

You can use Studio Reverb from Guitar Rig 7 Player, which is free, and experiment with treble and stereo to enhance the chamber vibe!

Hey, sorry for my late response! I haven't downloaded Studio Reverb yet. To be honest, I don't have a violin plugin to use yet so I'm actively comparing which ones to buy. I'm familiar with effects and mixing so wasn't too worried about reverb now, but rather if I should buy a solo violin or an ensemble plugin instead to make songs like the one I mentioned.

But thanks for checking in and I'll def follow up when I'm ready to download Guitar Rig 7 Player! :)

P.S. Oh! and I just realised how misleading it was for me to ask "how to get this sound" instead of "what instrument should I use?". Sorry for the misunderstanding! 😅

Effects can shape the sound a lot, especially if you are really good at effect mastering or even sound design!

Violins and the sort or really difficult to do on a keyboard. I'd look for something the emphasizes the attack of the strings on harder key velocities. Most of the junk out there takes a single sample of a violin stroke and changes the its volume. That gets old fast. Look for something that uses keys on the keyboard to select different types of strokes but make no sound when pressed. The when you press a key in the register of the violin it makes a sound which could be pizzicato or legato, etc. There's a term for the special keys that select different playing styles but I can't remember it. Sorry...

Yeah, I thought I heard someone in a video call those "trigger keys", but I may be wrong. I'll keep this in mind while researching. Thanks!

I def have my eye on the Cremona Quartet as the strings can be played separately. The Ancient Greek Strings especially looks fascinating to me for it's authentic/historical qualities.
