Could you explain the process to achieve the legato technique?
everyone,
I'm a beginner with Reaktor.
Please allow me to ask some basic questions.
I'm trying to figure out how to achieve the legato technique in Reaktor.
Similar to a monophonic analog synthesizer, I want the pitch to move up to the highest note when multiple keys are pressed without retriggering the envelope when a higher key is released, just smoothly transitioning to the next lower key. Also, when using PCM, I'd like to trigger samples specifically designed for legato play.
I'm looking forward to guidance from someone experienced with Reaktor.
Thank you.

There are many ways to achieve a legato, but since you are a beginner, the best way is to study other ensembles, either for the Factory library either from the User library.
Here is an example of a basic legato macro

You can also find very good examples in the User Library.

The version where the highest note held will play, and releasing doesn't re-trigger, is pretty easy to implement. Here is one option:
In this approach, the voice count on the instrument limits the number of keys that can be 'remembered'.
A more complete system where instead of the highest note, it's the most recent that is held is significantly more difficult... also when you add in features like retrig on release etc.
It's also more difficult to achieve the 'highest active note' version in a completely monophonic ensemble, but doable.
Here is one implementation of the whole thing. I might do it differently now, haven't thought about it in a long while. crack it open and have a look, and if you have any questions, ask away.

(just to get an idea of how tricky this can be to get right, there was(/is?) a bug in the factory note-in Block which is why I uploaded my version... my portamento/glide implementation is also fancier)

To those who responded,
I apologize for the delayed response. I will study to better understand REAKTOR based on the information you provided. Thank you for the very thoughtful replies.😊
