GR7 - Loop Machine Pro Auto Grow improvement

Hi there,
Loving this GR7 and the Loop Machine so far. Very usable from the beginning! When playing with Auto Grow I thought of a feature that could be implemented to make it even better:
Currently in Auto Grow mode when you tap REC and you're almost at the end of your loop, such as:
You end up recording a second loop with a silence in the beginning (right orange half is total silence):
So you need to tap REC right on time, or even a tad bit late to be sure to not trigger this behavior.
Could be improved with an "Start on loop complete" or "Start on next beat" toggle. The same way Ableton Live behaves when you're in session mode and you hit REC: it waits for the next beat to start recording so you can hit it a bit in advance and be all focused on your recording.
Thanks 😃

Well, I would recommend an alternative (if you use the DAW):
Record the riff eith the duration of 1 or 2 bars, and then copy paste it for the next 1 or 2 bars and so on.
I do that when I want to use the alternative methods of loops.

Live looping really isn't about copy pasting. I can use another looper in a daw, sure, but then the point is moot. I'd rather use GR7 looper now that it's there, and do everything there.
It's usable but there's a lot of room for improvement (multi tracks, fading after stop, fading between tracks, etc.). And this topic focuses on one of them: currently AutoGrow is not that easy to use (you have to click right on time or a bit late) and it could be improved to make it more reliable.

I mean, you can take the laptop with you (if you have one, and nearly every band takes the laptop with them for extra musical support).

Thanks for the recommendation. The team agrees that this feature could be improved, especially for those users who may have a more mouse oriented workflow. We are currently ideating on a new "Increase Length" button that will allow you to autogrow "on demand".

I personally use the Looper with a MIDI controller pedalboard (that sends CC and/or PC), so not too interested in features that make me get away from my instrument then get back (as mouse forces you to do). But any improvement is a step in the right direction I'm sure. And I really appreciate the team chiming in. Thanks!

Yeah, the idea is that you could also map this button to a controller.
