Session guitarist strummed - change keys on 1 logic pro track

Hello,

I'm producing a song using Session Guitarist Strummed. I need more chords than one key will allow. For now I'm using two Logic Pro tracks and two different session guitarist plug ins, one for each key. I gotta believe there's an easier way.

Also, it's hard to smooth out some of the on/off of the chords/strumming?

Any ideas greatly appreciated!

-Michael

Yeah...maybe that is the wrong file.

Do you have any file name with rhe 'Melody' on it?

    Just manually record the chords.

You can listen to the samples inside the instrument, take inspiration from them, and then create and cook up new ones!

I had similar issue with Session Prime Bassist and it worked brilliantly!

    Hi Milos,

Thanks for answering but I'm not sure if I understand. If I'm playing the first few chords in Ab and use FM and Ab then need a Bb the only way I can get it is to create a whole other track and plug in Session Guitarist (Strummed) in Bb, etc. Does this make sense or is there a simple way to change key signatures (and hence availability of chords) in one iteration plugged in?

Do you use the piano keyboard or computer keyboard for recording the melody?

Well then, use the piano keyboard for recording.

And if you want use the samples, listen to them, copy paste them by ear and record the samples mannualy.

    I use it every day.

thanks for hanging in with me. Okay, so if I'm in the key of C major. All I can draw and hear are major chords. How do I create other chords (minor/7ths) etc. If I switch to AUTOCHORDS it gives me the major/minor/diminished based on the key selected but to use a chord outside of that key I have to create a whole new midi track and plug in a different instrument. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Hmm, do you have the Melody/Solo mode?

I have that with my Session Prime Bass.

I'm not sure. How do I check?

Go to the Session Gutarist (any guitar)

Btw, it is Poly/Mono, not Melody/Solo (my mistake)

Then check the Poly/Mono. (Make sure to open the Session Guitarist Melody

    It might work.

This is my melody file. Thanks for pointing me to it because I was wondering how to use the midi controller to play parts, not just trigger patterns.

    Great!

Now you can compose your own riffs and melodies.

Of course you can use some of the samples as an inspiration.
