GR7 - Issue with saving mappings

Heyo,

I'm having a hard time saving my mappings in GR7 (paid, 7.0.1).

I assign some using the Learn MIDI Control feature.

Then I can find them in the MIDI Controls List:

But:

On exiting the program, this list is emptied.
If I click on "Save Global MIDI Controls as Default", exit the program, and then click "Load Default Global MIDI Controls", the list is not restored.
If I click on "Save Global MIDI Controls as Default" and then immediately click "Load Default Global MIDI Controls", the list is emptied.

This seems to indicate a bug with saving Global MIDI Controls, but I might have misunderstood the feature?

(Posted a similar subject some minutes ago but it disappeared after I edited it so I guess I deleted it by mistake, sorry if it's a duplicate)

As a workaround you can use the Macros and assign MIDI controls to those and then assign the Macros to the Looper controls. You can also change the Macro controls to momentary buttons, this should work fine with the start, stop, record buttons.

thanks for getting in touch and bringing this to our attention. It seems like there might indeed be a problem with the Global MIDI Controls and the Looper. We are currently investigating this. We are very sorry about this.

Allright thanks!

The "delete" (dust bin) button didn't seem midi mappable (did not test with macros): that might be a nice addition. For now I'm using the "undo" button, and there's always the eventual double-click-maintain stop, but I'd rather never double click.

Delete is a short cut for double tapping stop. If you have stop mapped, then you have delete already :)

Yeah but I'd rather never double-tap! But that's a detail, sure.
