Is the new Kontrol 3 shipping with a USB 3? If so how long is it?

Yes it does ship with a USB-C cable. I think it's either 5 or 6 feet long. It has a molded plug-end that fits into the rear of the MK3 chassis (possibly to maintain directionality?), but it appears (and tests) just like a regular USB-C cable.

Look in the styrofoam end-cap in your shipping box, and you'll find it.

Thanks for the quick reply. Love that you have this discussion group. I just ordered the item yesterday. Should have pre-ordered it seems. Any idea of when dealers will receive their orders (mine) Sweetwater.

I'm not an NI person. Just some dude who bought one.

I will advise you to temper your expectations with this purchase. It's still early and there are a lot of people who are struggling. If you already have other ways to make music, you may want to keep those for your production work, and slowly bring this one in as it goes through its teething and training wheels phases.
