Komplete Kontrol crashes after 4 keys played

I've accomplished all the troubleshooting and all the suggestions I could find in the forum. Komplete Kontrol launches, connects with my keyboard, allows a selection of an instrument and loads it. I play 4 keys with no problem, then all freeze. No keyboard, no Komplete Kontrol. I have to shut the program down with task manager. Latency Monitor shows I have no conflicts. Most interesting thing, I can launch Ableton and have no problems with the selecting instruments and the keyboard operates flawlessly. My interface is a Volt 2 and it works with every other program with no problem. I opened a ticket with NI support. They had me send them a log using their support data tool but then closed the ticket and told me to try the troubleshooting listed in the support pages again. Thoughts?

Alfredo with NI tech support figured it out. Disabled Volt driver and enabled internal PC sound. Everything operated properly with PC internal sound card enabled and Volt driver disabled. I didn't think to try that since everything else UA Volt related worked flawlessly. Removed Universal Audio from the PC and then reinstalled it and as such new drivers for the Volt were reinstalled. Everything works great now, Komplete Kontrol as a stand-alone and in conjunction with Ableton. Many thanks to Alfredo and Jeremy with NI tech support for helping this MIDI newbie.

Honestly I find it hard even deciding where to begin, a notion not lessened by the fact that you are really skinny on the actual information provided about your setup . So this is just me guessing with extract from your profile ! :
You are using a PC with Win10 ? , and by keyboard you mean your Komplete S61 Mk2 ?
I am sorry to have to say this , but if you are having serious problems hard to trouble-shoot then you also needs to do some serious work to try to find cause and one of the paths to take would be to take a full system backup (drive image based) and then re-install Windows and then start with only attaching essentials like only your keyboard and only installing necessary N.I. software like N.A. and KK and whatever. and then see how that works and then add on to that. Then you can always take a new backup of that and reload the previous old backup and start fiddling with that again ! OR you could try the subtractive method and start removing software and drivers or anything that you suspect of having any influence. Instead you could also fiddle with trying to re-install drivers and moving stuff to other USB ports , anything that you suspect may have any influence on your setup...
Personally , despite of another forum member here being less than friendly because of me often suggesting re-installs as a venue , then I am rather partial to the drive imaged based backup and followed by a reinstall because it is a rather simple and a relatively transparent way to go about things unless connected to problems where involving something that Windows copy when you re-install and you have a hard time removing all traces of last OS setup...

@Wheels My colleagues got back to you with the troubleshooting steps on September 8th but you did not reply. After 8 days without a response the ticket is closed but you still have 20 days to re-open the ticket. For some reason you didn't reply in this time frame and only replied yesterday, so that's why you found the ticket closed. I have created a new request for you and contacted you by email to save some time. My colleagues should get back to you as soon as possible.

Jeremy, my apologies for the confusion. I had already tried all the troubleshooting that is listed online and what I could find in the forum, that's why I opened a tech ticket. I was under the impression that after sending the data log as requested that I would get a more specific path to take. As I have 'found' a work-around using Abelton I guess in this case patience was not a virtue. Thank you for reopening a new request for assistance. I look forward to working with you and your team to get this figured-out.

Mr. Poor Fellow,
Thanks for your input, sorry that I wasn't more specific on my hardware configuration within the body of my question, I had just filled-out all those details when I signed-up for the forum and just didn't give it a thought. An image and clean install has crossed my mind more than once but there is something about this fault that has me perplexed. It isn't just a flat-out failure to load or immediate hardware/software crash, everything works fine for 4 keys and then freezes, plus everything works fine in Abelton. I would really like to find the conflict and resolve it if possible. Another tech ticket has been opened for me and I'd like NI tech support to have the opportunity at finding the anamoly. Hopefully they will find the discrepancy, be able to propose a fix and what was causing the problem so they can have a patch or something for their next software update for folks that have configurations like mine (this little PC has some very unique duties). If I just wipe it out nobody learns anything. That being said.....if Ableton hadn't been working properly, I probably would have done as you propose or maybe created a dual boot system or a removable SSD??
