This would be a good post to wrap up this thread.

It is what it is... no need to "fight" over anything.

We all have our opinions and choices to make about dealing with the lifecycles of our gear.

NI has provided sufficient information on this topic for decision making.

Keep or sell your S-MK1's... and please be open with any buyers of your used S-MK1 in that they'll need to provide a "legacy" environment... some won't mind at all and will be happy to have it.
