Hey everyone! I bought yesterday K7 Crossgrade (I only had before K6 player). So now, when I want to open K7, it's ok but if I wanna load a sound here's what I see :/ Any idea to fix that? Thanks.

It sounds like a bug they fixed some time ago.

Are your Programs up to date? I mean…also Native Access

Thanks for answering. Yes everything has been updated. Check out my K7 library in Native Access. They all have been installed.

From your post it is rather difficult to tell if you owned & had "a qualifying third-party sample library installed and activated on your NI account." . Because initially I got rather rather confused as to how you could cross-grade from a 'Player version' , which it also tells that you should not be able to do unless that you have one of the mentioned 'QUALIFYING NATIVE INSTRUMENTS LIBRARIES' . If you have not then maybe there is your problem ! (?)

RESTRICTIONS: The free KONTAKT PLAYER alone does not qualify. You also need to have a qualifying third-party sample library installed and activated on your NI account.

Yes, you have K7 PLAYER installed. Which makes quite strange you can install full Factory library 2 (btw: when you’ll have full factory library 2 working, you won’t need the selections installed, since they are stripped down versions of it)

@PoorFellow To be honest, I bought the Crossgrade version without being sure it was the one for me... As I had the K6 player I tought it was good tho... So if i'm right, I must buy the full version of K7? If yes, do you know if that's possible to get a refund for my crossgrade version and then, buy the full one? (and thanks fro you answer btw ;). )

@LostInFoundation thank you! Do you know how I can uninstall Kontakt Factory Selection and Kontakt Factory Selection 2 as you told me they were not necessary anymore?

If you bought the wrong version from native-instruments.com then I am rather sure that support will assist you as best they can - expect some waiting time and patience though.. Also , mishaps happens even if N.I. try to do their best so yank their chain politely if it takes too long for a response ! (I can not say what is too long as that depends on load !)

If in doubt of qualifying then contact support : https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us

    P.S.

Yes, you need a qualifying full Kontakt version or you need to have one of the mentioned 'QUALIFYING NATIVE INSTRUMENTS LIBRARIES'.

    WHO QUALIFIES?

You can only buy and activate the KONTAKT 7 crossgrade if all of the following conditions are met:

    1. You own one or more qualifying products.

    2. The product you own runs in an activated KONTAKT engine such as KONTAKT PLAYER, KOMPAKT, or INTAKT.

Note: Login to the KONTAKT pricing page to see if you qualify.

Universal Import ensures that your sample libraries can be seamlessly loaded, played, and edited in KONTAKT 7.

    P.S. 2

You can also wait and buy the Komplete Standard 14 at next sale !

Much better value for money in my opinion ! 🙂

    To uninstall, follow this article:

    https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/210291865-How-to-Uninstall-Native-Instruments-Software-from-a-Mac-Computer

Another possibility (having already bought the crossgrade) could be to buy one of the qualifying products. Some of them comes at 99 €, therefore for the same price of full Kontakt you’ll get also an instrument (one example: Session Strings 2 99€ plus the crossgrade you already bought at 199€ = 298€, same price as the full Kontakt 7)

@LostInFoundation you're my man! I'm gonna try this.

To be sure…maybe ask support about this road being feasible.

I don’t see any reason why buying the qualifying product afterwards should render the crossgrade not working, but since my mind often seems to work differently from the ones in NI decision making department, better go safe 😉

@Krynon This has nothing to do with a crossgrade/activation issue. Are you able to open Kontakt 7 in standalone? Does it show as Player? Full?
