Rig Kontrol Used As Midi For Guitar Rig 7
I'm told I can still use my Rig Kontrol as a midi devise. Trying to set up and see it in Control Editor, but can't get it to connect. Do I need the rig kontrol driver installed? Its not compatible with my mac.
Does anyone have a step by step that I can reference?
Thanks folks
Adam

Rig Kontrol 3 is no longer supported since GR6, what you can try is to downgrade the Controller Editor to version 1.7.4 and see what's possible in GR7.

Anyone know what was the last mac os compatible with rig kontrol? might have to drop down to that and use guitar rig 5....

Hi Adam, it is not an OS version issue. I'm on Ventura (macOS 13) and can still use my Rig Kontrol 3 in combination with GR5. GR6 & 7 isn't supported anymore. In the meantime I'm also using a Behringer FCB1010 (with uno2 Chip upgrade) which works independent of any VST or OS updates like any other MIDI controller.

Hi Doedel
Thanks for your comment. I'm so confused! I had guitar rig 5 working perfectly with rig kontrol on my mac until a few years ago. Then with one of the OS updates, it all stopped working. Recently updated to guitar rig 7 pro and all is good except for the rig kontrol.

How well does the Behringer work with GR7 ? I do a lot of live gigs and was thinking of going virtual BUT...
Anything I use live needs to be super solid when doing paid gigs.

I have to say I love using GR7 in the studio. :) Just need a simple solid rig for live shows. I often have little time to set up and do a lot of outdoor gigs.

FCB1010 is very stable. I have been using the controller for more than 10 years now, even live. No external power supply. Simply solidly built and easy to program with software via the PC. (you only have to do this once)
It works perfectly with GR7. And I have not installed any other chip. (uno2)
What bothers me a little is that the buttons don't have a noticeable point at which they react. It doesn't crack or anything like that. So I can't feel whether I've stepped on it hard enough.

Check out Xsonic Airstep, works like a charm👌and cracks 😊

@Wouter De Muynck, have you integrated a pedal for the volume/wah-wah?

I agree with what Gandi writes, there is no "stomp box" switching feel behind the pedals of the FCB1010. I'm using it in my studio environment (no shoe area!) and bought it for the reason not to hurt my feet.
For on stage use I'd probably also look for something more "heavy duty" that "cracks".
