Hello,
stand alone just one, in your daw as vsti it totally depends on your daw and your cpu power, can be over hundred even more.

OK sorry, my question was not precise. Should be - how many KK tracks in your DAW can you create to still can control them with your KK MK2 keybord (UI and led).
I have two DAWs - Cubase PRO 12 and Ableton Live suite 11. In every of these DAWs I can open 200 KK tracks but only 99 of these shows on my keyboard KK Mk2 with KK UI. Keyboard is working in every track. Is it a bug?
Can you make quick test in your system? Insert 110 empty KK tracks with some NI simple plugin. Can you operate 110 th track with your keyboard MK2 (if you have one).
Why so many tracks - need it for a orchestra template.

I can't think of a single professional orchestrator that uses that many tracks for an orchestra. They generally break it down by section and sub-section so the most I've seen is probably in the 60's or so. Even easier are the super massive 250 piece orchestra libraries from folks like 8DIO who already have it broken out into sections. At some point latency becomes a pretty daunting issue.

They're not playing at once. But templates with 200 tracks are pretty common. I use mostly EW Opus where you have plenty of articulation for every instrument. With my PC latency is not a problem with this template. But this is not a subject.
My problem is that 100th track doesn't have KK UI on my keybord. I still don't know is it only my problem or the software is broken or designed that way.

Ok now I get it, I will test with cubase pro 12 later but if you say you can control 99, them it seems the limit

in cubase i can go over 100, with browsing track and with browsing the instance, with the so named features on my a49. The track button without and with shift. I tried up to 111 instances, but I have no lightguide so I'm talking about browsing presets and control knobs and stuff.

Thank you @Uwe303 for checking.
It would be nice to have someone with mk2 keyboard. For me using komplete kontrol is mostly for the lightguide.
In orchestral VSTs there are many presets where is a lot of key switches or there are only 3-4 keys for for example specific snare or something. Everything else is silent. I don't want to open the VST window with virtual keyboard to see what notes have sounds, every time.
