Accessibility on the new MK3 series

Hello, I am a blind user. Are we still going to have the same degree of accessibility on the new keyboards? I listen to the video and it said something about a new keypad. Are all of the buttons still raised and does the new series still support the accessibility mode.

There is no new “keypad from what I can see, just a slight redesign of the buttons.
All the buttons are still raised and the encoders are touch sensitive still however and I would thing they would still have voice guide capability, but now instead of clicking through pages it scrolls the controls or you have tabbed pages. Maybe once you learn the top buttons and what pages they correspond with it would be faster to switch pages but honestly, if you have an MK2 keyboard already there would be very little to benefit from with an upgrade I would think.

Well it is now June 2024, I have had my Mk iii for over 8 weeks now and it is still in the box because there is no accessibility for it yet. If it was written on the actual product page that accessibility has not yet been in the priority list I would have not purchased it yet. The other problem isNative access, I opened it to check if there was a new download that might be in there so I can actually use the keyboard that I spent $1299.00 on only to find it has done an update and it no longer works at all. So a keyboard that does not function as intended but no way to download or check for the accessibility plugin so I can use it. I thought this keyboard would be a game changer for me, however it has been nothing short of a nightmare to this point and my confidence in Native instruments is not something that exists in my mind right now. What should’ve been a great step forward and an uplifting experience has left me broke buying something that simply doesn’t do what it should and quite depressed. No point trying to contact Native instruments about it as I have tried a couple of times already and no response. I can’t return the keyboard either as the window to return it to the place of purchase is closed. Thankfully I only made a reasonably small purchase on a Native instruments library when I was waiting for the keyboard to arrive and not the Complete Ultimate like I was going to and still want to but in saying that, what is the point on spending more on more that I am not going to be able to use. Native instruments should have a chat with the fantastic team at Softube to learn how great things are and how well these things will be received when things are done right the first time.

Well, it’s now September and I have not seen any news on when the accessibility helper will come out for the complete control mark three. Let me know.

Yep, waiting for things to improve (or just to revert back to how users actually want to use the products) is a never ending waiting game. Sadly we have a keyboard and software released way ahead of time with the most basic functions like MIDI templates and Accessibility features, core function that WAS available in prior versions for 8+ years, missing and in need of seemingly years to re-implement. The pace of development is sadly the slowest I have experienced for a product. Certainly isn't based on stress testing with the number of bugs each release till comes out with. How it takes literally years to push out just a handful of features is perplexing.
All I can say is it could be another year or more before you get Accessibility (assuming it works) and IMO it's just very poor of NI to remove these features for a new release which you would assume improves on what we had. Still waiting to find just 1 thing that HAS improved yet, certainly hasn't been the pace of development.
