Can't find my Guitar Rig 7 pro vst in ableton
Hi,
I just installed Guitar Rig 7 pro. In ableton I want to insert the plugin on an audio track, but I can only find the FX and MFX not the VST.
Does anyone knows what I am doing wrong?
PS...what is the difference between the vst/fx/mfx?
Thanks!

@Inktvis FX stands for effect, so it is the Guitar rIg 7 plugin you are looking for. The MFX is for Midi Controlled Effect if you want to control some parameters with a MIDI controller.
Guitar rig 7 has no VST plug-in, since the VST2 format is on it's way out. It'sonly available as AU, AAX and VST3.
I imagine you're on Mac so you can either use the Guitar Rig 7 FX AU plug-in or the VST3 plug-in in Ableton.

Hi Jeremy,
Thanks for your quick reply. I will use the FX then.
I was confused as the GR5 & 6 did have the vst in my ableton library. Do you also know where I can find the GR 6 presets for loading in the GR7? The presets are not showing up.
