Mixing samples

Ive recently been mixing 2 different pianos in Kontakt at the same time to give me the sound I want.However, this invovles me loading the instrument and adding the preset that i tweaked it with, and then doing the same adding the second instrument making sure they are on the same midi channel, and then adjusting the individual volume to get the mixed sound I want.

Is there a way of combing both instruments into a new instrument with these mixed sounds, so I can just load one instrument?

What DAW are you using?

Usually within a DAW you can just save a channel/rack preset with whatever you have loaded setup, including any macros and assignments for the channel. That is how I usually do it.

Otherwise the option to save a Kontakt Multi is the way to go (the Save icon at the top of the screen). That will save a snapshot of whatever is loaded then you can open that for the same setup

That worked great thanks. One other question. Is it possible to some how combine both instruments into a new single instrument, give it a name and load it as a single instrument in the rack? Not sure if it's possible?

If both instruments are editable, can't see why you shouldn't copy/paste all the groups from one instrument to the other. Click on the first group in the list, shift-click on the last to select all.
