I don't understand the patch lists

In KK after opening a plug-in window there's the list of sounds to scroll through, but they are from different instruments. Like in the screenshot, two sounds after one another but one from Prism and the other one from Monark.

After having loaded the first sound and the Prism instrument was opened in the KK browser I could no longer find the second sound of the first list in KK since I thought that all of the sounds were from Prism. I tried all the knobs and buttons but then I found that the easiest way to find it was to open another instance of KK in my DAW. That way I was automatically back into the "preloaded" list.

What is the purpose of having the sounds organized like this and how is one supposed to approach it?

The list is simply in alphabetical order and lists All Instruments. If you click this header:

You can then select which instruments presets you want to browse:

Then you will see just presets for that instrument:

    Thanks Jester!

I've seen that All Instruments "header" but I just thought "Okay, here are all instruments, so what?" It never occurred to me that it was a menu. Probably since the font is very big and the arrow is very small. Plus that the arrow is greyed out, indicating "nothing to click on".

No arrow greyed out on my end, just the usual mouse pointer. There is a little down arrow on the right that illuminates slightly when you hover over to show there is a menu to click. Anyway, now you know.

Yeah, I meant the down arrow. Guess I was a little tired too.

    Thanks again 👍
