Question on Plugins
For packages like the grandeur, maverick, noir piano, can we use the original sounds as they come or they have to be used alongside a DAW, like say, mainstage, as a plugin..? Because Id really love to use the original sound and not as a plug in to a stock sound from a DAW.

You can load them in Kontakt or Komplete Kontrol standalone apps - neither has to be used as a plugin

Thank you so much for getting back to me! So I use mainstage 3 , can i load them in as a standalone sound without using it as a plugin on the channel strips?

If you are using MainStage then you will need to load the au plugin of Kontakt (or Komplete Kontrol) in an instrument rack and load those libraries from within them

Thank you so much! So what i used to do was to load in like a factory stock sound, like say, a Steinway grand piano, and then add the kontakt ( the grandeur sounds from native) in but as a plug in, to the steinway, which sounded great! But I have always wanted to not use it as a plug in but as a standalone sound! Thank you so much for informing me that this was possible! enjoy your day

If you are using them in MainStage they are still being loaded as plugins - but I guess what you mean is MainStage is not a traditional DAW but more a performance tool - like so...

That makes sense ! So for traditional DAWS like logic would be able to load in the sound libraries from a native package as a standalone sound patch , but not as a plug-in. Makes sense.
thank you so much. I really appreciate this

Not exactly - Logic would also load Kontakt as a plugin, and you would then select the sound libraries you want to load in Kontakt (eg Noire). The difference is just that MainStage is a performance host not a DAW.
The standalone version of Kontakt is mainly there for if you just want to play instruments but not actually record them, or if you are designing or editing sounds in Kontakt.

Got it ! So this is essentially what MainStage does. Loads Kontakt as a plug-in , and then I select my soung library.
but for traditional DAWS your plug-ins can essentially be standalone instruments ?
