how to remove some Genre-Factory-Presets from pull-down in Traktor Pro

as the headline says I want to remove Genre from the pull-down in the Edit-menu

due to sorting my tracks with this field it´s making me bit "angry" to pass all those I never will use like Alternative, Blues, Country, Disco etc.

I have my own included but don´t know how to remove those NI included

maybe I´ve to edit an original-file but do not really know where to find it

hope someone has an idea/hint

regards,

The Sarge!

    Hey @The Sarge,

I am not quite sure whether I properly understand your inquiry - the Genre field is a vital part of ID 3 tags and cannot be simply deactivated or bulk-removed. Only NI factory content will show factory presets - all other files carry tags provided by the vendor or tagging tool but not Traktor.

sorry, I hope deepl.com translated your post right, then you are wrong:

I have only the NI-preset-stuff and my CDs imported (all kinds of Techno Trance Gabber etc) and when I go to Edit-Mode inside TraktorPro3 and click on the pull-down-Genre-Symbol it offers me Alternative, Blues, etc. = all this genre I´ll never need

and so I just wanted to "delete" those, cause if I selfmade a genre (name it "Sarge" f.e.) it first appears in the pull-down-menu, but if I delete those tracks which have this Genre selected, the Genre "Sarge" isn´t any longer in the pull-down-menu

Aye, thanks for correcting me, my answer wasn't 100% accurate and I have edited it.

Besides, it seems I have not properly understood your initial inquiry - I thought you were asking how to erase certain Genres in general / bulk-editing.
