Hi,

when I load Kontant 7 standalone it won't connect to my Steinberg UR824. It shows it in the selected

Driver: ASIO

Device: Yamaha Steinber USB ASIO

Status: Not present.

so I basically can't use it standalone but always have to load Cubase. what can I do to make my ASIO device "usable" to Native Instruments? To my knowledge I have no other software running that monopolizes the ASIO driver (unless I am running Cubase).

Are you running the latest Yamaha Steinberg USB driver? This is V2.1.5.

Previous versions 2.1.1 and 2.1.3 have had some issues so updating might help.

I will mark this as answer, thanks for the quick reply. I actually had started KONTAKT 6 first, and it was hanging around in the background without me noticing (even though I ddin't select the UR there)

Luckily I managed to crash Kontakt 7 and forced a restart, which cleared the problem. Next thing was that I needed to load KOMPLETE Kontrol to get to use the browser. The learning curve is a little overwhelming right now, hopefully I will figure out a way to load a single instrument and browse its presets. Also what's a bit frustrating is that it is hard (is it possible) to change a preset sound (such as a CS80) from MONO to POLY. Have to also get used to the fact there is no reverb (like on my Direct listening environment when I use a hardware synth).
