Audio distortion in mk3

Greetings ever since I upgraded my Mac to the lasest os version I get distortion no matter if on blue tooth or plugged into mk3 while playing or playback. Distortion is random and sounds like a short.

I wanted to know is this Mac os thing that NI is working on a patch or if there is a hardware issue.

Seems weird it's just audio and even through my Mac there is the same issue.

In other words, when I select audio playback to max, same issue.if


If software any news when NI getting a patch?

    Do you get the same distortion playing a song via iTunes? If not, it's gotta be a NI thing

    Hi @Jevans106 A couple of questions:

    What is the CPU usage like when this occurs? Also, does it occur in every project?

    Have you checked your levels just in case? And do you use an external audio interface? 🤔

    Yes all the time and in projects, cpu i9 ram 64

    Yes it seems there is a article about it on NI support page dealing with drivers and reinstalling stuff but from what I could tell is there is a incompatible issue.

    At this point better to go back a couple of revs on the Mac os.

    NI support isn't robust directly on the website NI should just add a some email and a better turn around on emails.

    @Jeremy_NI Do you have any advice on what to check if there are audio distortion issues? Or perhaps troubleshooting steps to determine if these are really compatibility issues.

    Hi it's a mk3 and I had to roll back the OS on the Mac.

    It helped but still have so.e issues.

    Hey @Jevans106 there are no known incompatibilities for the Maschine software on MacOS Monterey. I suspect your issue is software only, since it also happens when using the audio of your Mac. You can double check bty trying to reproduce the issue with the MK3 disconnected. I will contact you by email, we'll need to check your system.

    Greetings I am having the same issue in mac ventura I have exhausted all fixes and NI not any help on this. Doesn't make sense there are no settings to help get rid of cracks pops and distortions on track playback. Cpu looks maxed but no settings for that either. Most all tracks or songs have some sort of issue and all fx off.

    Is there a polyphonic limit with mascine?

    Issue seems to happen more with packages such as paralight, starlight and Ashlight.

    Distorts especially with both worlds in starlight libary.

    @Justin Evans What kind of mac do you have? Are your libraries installed on an external hard drive? What format is that drive? Do Kontakt and Maschine both have full disk access? How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS

    Hi Jeremy all software and library on mac power book and some other libary is on a hard drive but that only grabs samples.

    So the main work is located on the computer.

    And yes to all your questions I am running mac ventura os unistalling and reinstalling everything Including the OS with same results. I recently bought komplete 14 hoping it would fix things but it didn't.

    I sent crash reports and the tech trouble shooting file to NI ticket regards Justin
