Use EWI 5000 with Session Horns Pro?
Is it possible to use Session Horns Pro with an Akai EWI 5000? I've tried hooking CC2 to Volume in the Amplifier settings. It kinda works and it kinda sounds ok but there's no aftertouch.
There's the option in the Session Horns Pro's "controls" panel to set Dynamic Control to use CC11. That seems like it's what I actually want to use but since the Akai EWI uses CC2, I'm stumped.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

I think you can set the EWI to send any cc# (manual p28). (Or a simple Kontakt multiscript could change it for you)
I use a WX5 which may possibly have a different response curve to the EWI. And I don't have Session Horns. But if you're new to using Kontakt with a wind controller I offer the following advice.
Link your volume controller to a knob or slider which has a logarithmic response: this means to the volume knob in the group amplifier module, or the slider in the instrument header. Not to a modulator, which has a linear response which doesn't work well (this probably applies also to the volume control offered by the library authors).
If "dynamic control" is a crossfader between loud and soft samples, try to link your volume controller to this too, so the sound gets brighter as it gets louder. If you can, have a response curve which increases mostly in the top third of the range, saving the brightest sound for the very loudest notes.
Always have some artificial ambience, e.g. through one of the auxiliary outputs, or the sound will cut off abruptly when you stop blowing.
You should be able to play pretty much any Kontakt instrument with your WC. I've been doing it for years.
