True, but the kind of pads you typically get on a keyboard are also no substitute for dedicated pads. Maybe there's a keyboard out there with really good pads, but all the ones I've experienced are mediocre at best.

Yes, that’s why we really need the next gen of keyboards to also be much better integrated with the next gen of Maschine than is currently the case, where they actually work against each other in some respects
